Historical AP eligibility
  • OPOTY: 1972 onward. DPOTY: 1971 onward.
  • AP Rookie of the Year: 1957–1966, shown within the offensive rookie category under its original combined label. Separate OROTY and DROTY: 1967 onward.
  • CBOTY: 1963–1966 and 1998 onward; no AP award in 1967–1997. The early NFL and AFL awards were separate; this ledger lists NFL winners.
  • COTY: 1957 onward.

WAU season selections take precedence over historical AP winners. Career totals without winning seasons do not assign a seasonal winner. Missing data is not zero.
