Historical distance · 2134
Mac Walls led the public snapshots from 2020 through 2122, sharing first place with Levi Cross in 2095. His standing drew on institutional reverence and memories of his playing era. Later generations became less attached to his first-place ranking.
In 2124, Jaxson Walls took first place and Mac fell to fifth. Hunter led in 2128, Jaxson regained first in 2131, and Hunter finished first in 2134. Mac ranked fourth in both 2131 and 2134.
During Jaxson Walls’ lifetime, public assessments of his résumé frequently centered on his personality and controversies. Later generations placed greater emphasis on his championship record, passing production, longevity and sustained dominance.
JAXSON WALLS’ FANBASE
Motto: “You hate us because you ain’t us.”
Reputation: Widely considered the most passionate, obnoxious, arrogant, petty, and defensive fanbase in NFL history.
The Rams Faithful are fiercely loyal to Jaxson Walls, adopting his arrogance, rivalries, grudges, and confrontational attitude.
They proclaim him the “Unanimous G.O.A.T.” while simultaneously calling him the “Most Underrated Quarterback of All Time.” Any ranking below first is considered disrespectful.
Common Rams fan responses:
Many fans downplayed Bountygate, citing the NFL’s history of celebrating violent football, particularly players like Cameron Knox.
Criticizing Jaxson’s involvement was often treated as disloyalty, even among Rams supporters.
Camden Ryder’s August 12, 2048 confession sparked widespread celebration. Fans considered Jaxson vindicated, despite his knowing protection of Ryder.
Their aggressive defense of virtually everything he said or did frequently turned neutral observers against him. Any backlash only strengthened their belief that Jaxson was unfairly hated.
Jaxson Walls maintained a close relationship with the Rams Faithful throughout his career. He regularly spent hours signing autographs, and meet-and-greet appearances often ran beyond their scheduled times because he wanted to continue speaking with supporters.
He appreciated their loyalty and made little effort to direct their behavior. He neither encouraged nor discouraged their confrontations with rival fanbases and critics.
For supporters who met him personally, these interactions often shaped their opinions of him more than his public controversies. His critics, meanwhile, continued to judge him by his conduct in those controversies.
The Rams Faithful became inseparable from Jaxson’s public image, making GOAT debates notoriously hostile.
To Rams fans, they were the most loyal fanbase in football.
Rival fans frequently described them as the most insufferable.
Media reception · post-LXIII
Jaxson’s demand for a place in the GOAT debate drew criticism not just of his résumé, but of his perceived “me, me, me” attitude.
“I deserve a seat at the table” — the three-peat interview · 2019 Rams introductory press conference
After Super Bowl LXIII · 2029
“Jaxson recently said he’s Top 5 all-time. Do you agree?”
“No. Not even close. Not even Top 10. I don’t put cheaters anywhere near the Top 10.
“And this is exactly what I’m talking about with Jaxson. You just three-peated. You just won another Super Bowl. Everybody’s talking about what you accomplished, and somehow, somehow, within five minutes we’re talking about whether you’re Top 5 all-time.
“Just shut the fuck up.
“I genuinely hate everything about him. I do. Because it’s always ‘me, me, me.’ ‘Look what I did.’ ‘Why don’t you respect me?’ ‘Why am I not ranked higher?’ My God, dude.
“And he’s always been like this. This isn’t new. He was like this at ASU. It was always his way or the highway. There’s a reason Arizona traded somebody with that arm after one season.
“And you’d think getting traded after one season might humble somebody. Nope. Not Jaxson. He gets traded to the Rams and before he’s even played a fucking game for them he’s already talking about making Arizona regret trading him for the rest of their existence.
“Like, for fuck’s sake, you went three and thirteen. You haven’t done anything yet. Stay in your lane.
“And obviously, now he’s won. I’m not denying that. The guy can play football. Congratulations. But that same attitude never went away. If anything, winning just convinced him he was right about everything.
“Humility has truly lost all meaning in 2029.
“When Mac won, when Matthew won, you didn’t hear this every single time. It wasn’t, ‘Okay, but where do I rank? Do you respect me now? Am I Top 5 yet?’ It was about the team. It was ‘we.’
“With Jaxson, somehow it always comes back to Jaxson.
“All he had to say yesterday was, ‘I’m honored.’ That’s it. Nobody would’ve cared. Nobody would’ve had anything to say. You three-peated, enjoy it. Celebrate with your teammates.
“But no. Jaxson being Jaxson, he has to turn it into a fucking GOAT debate, and then he has the audacity to complain that people don’t put him Top 5.
“You want to know why people don’t like you? Look in the mirror.
“And before somebody says, ‘Well, he three-peated,’ congratulations. You cheated. So do I really give a fuck? No, I don’t.
“I’m tired of hearing about how disrespected Jaxson Walls is. I’m tired of every accomplishment turning into another argument about Jaxson Walls.
“You won. Great.
“Now shut the fuck up.”

Who is the greatest of all-time in your opinion?
Mac. Beat Cody. What more do you want?
March 4, 2040 · His pick: Himself
“Who do you think is the G.O.A.T?”
“Who do you think?”
“I’m asking you.”
“I think I’m the Greatest Of All Time, and I don’t think it’s very close. Eight rings, 104,841 passing yards, 800 touchdowns, the NFL record, 357 consecutive games, eight Super Bowl MVPs, six NFL MVPs. I went 306–56 leading the greatest dynasty in NFL history, including the first-ever three-peat. And before me, this team was a wreck. With me, we were the definition of winning. My résumé speaks for itself.
“And don’t give me that ‘Jaxson, why do you have such a big ego?’ ‘Jaxson, why can’t you just be humble?’ This, that, whatever. Man, shut the fuck up. You win eight rings, you do half the shit I did, and tell me you wouldn’t have an ego. Yours would probably be twice as big. Stop acting like I’m the first successful person in history to think highly of himself.
“I’m not gonna sit here and pretend I wasn’t great because that makes you more comfortable. No. I know what I did. I know how good I was. I’m not gonna lie to you just so it sounds nicer. That’s my problem, you don’t want actual opinions, you want robots who always do the ‘acceptable’ thing so you never have to feel uncomfortable.
“I won eight rings. I earned my right to run my mouth. You would do the same thing.”

Who is the greatest of all-time in your opinion?
Definitely Matthew, won multiple rings with historically bad defenses speaks for itself and in my opinion is the definition of “Greatness” it isn’t “who has the most rings” it’s how you got them

Who is the greatest of all-time in your opinion?
I don’t care, who do you think is the G.O.A.T?
I’m asking you, my opinion isn’t relevant
And am telling you I don’t care, G.O.A.T debates are dumb anyway it’s always “who do I like more” not “who actually has the best résumé”

Who is the greatest of all-time in your opinion?
Me, I think am the greatest of all time but what's the point in asking me this? So everyone can get all whiny because I didn't chose Mac?, I realized you people don't want different opinions you made up your mind long ago that Mac Walls was your G.O.A.T and even after he became objectively not even Top 3 you still wouldn't move him, hated anyone would disagreed but admitting Mac wasn't the guy you painted him as is something you can never do
Following Jaxson’s three-peat
Everitt ranked Jaxson Walls first, Cody Harrison second and Mac Walls third. He reached that conclusion following Jaxson’s three-peat.
How the public sees them
Universally loved during his playing era. His fearlessness, swagger and bluntness reflected what that era celebrated.
Became polarizing later in life as the attitudes celebrated in his era became less socially acceptable. He refused to change, retaining devoted supporters while alienating others.
Defining distinctions
Most Hated · QB
Levi Cross spent more than two decades building one of the greatest résumés football had ever seen and eventually reached co-#1 in the public GOAT debate. At retirement, he voluntarily revealed that he had knowingly used PEDs from 2076–2079, including during three championship seasons. Cross openly maintained, “If I have to cheat, I will cheat.” Commissioner Jayden Thompson later vacated all ten of Las Vegas’s championships and permanently barred Cross from the Hall of Fame. Fans criticized his decision to disclose the PED use only after retiring.
Most Respected · QB
Mac Walls won six Super Bowls and five NFL MVPs, and spent more than a century as the public’s standard for quarterback greatness. Teammates, opponents, coaches and later generations consistently described him as humble. Mac rarely attacked rivals, did not obsess publicly over rankings, and was willing to give other great players credit even when comparisons involved him. His influence continued long after retirement, eventually leading to his #10 being retired league-wide and the Super Bowl MVP award carrying his name. Even as later generations reevaluated his place in the GOAT debate, the respect for Mac himself remained largely intact.
Most Polarizing · QB
“I deserve a seat at the table” — read the full three-peat interview. Read the analyst backlash.
Jaxson Walls’ career included 104,841 passing yards, 800 touchdowns, six MVPs, eight Super Bowl victories, and one of the longest stretches of elite quarterback play in league history. He was argumentative, openly arrogant, relentlessly defensive of his legacy and willing to keep debates alive long after everyone else wanted them finished. The Rams’ Bountygate scandal intensified that reputation. From 2023, his refusal to answer any public questions helped sustain suspicions that he had organized it. Ryder’s authorship was not publicly established until his August 12, 2048 confession. Jaxson had knowingly protected Ryder. Public distrust continued after the confession. Supporters admired what they saw as loyalty and a refusal to reshape himself for approval; critics saw accountability sacrificed for winning. The commissioner’s destruction of evidence was never exposed and did not inform these contemporary reactions.
