Career history
Cory redshirted in 2059 under Gunner Rhodes. His four starting seasons produced a 63–1 record and four on-field national championships: 2060 (16–0, title game 13–6), 2061 (16–0, 39–16), 2062 (16–0, 39–37) and 2063 (15–1, 17–3).
In 2060 he completed 251 of 347 passes for 3,568 yards, 23 touchdowns and five interceptions: 72% completion, 177.6 college passer rating, 10.3 yards per attempt and 274.5 passing yards per game. He rushed for 1,510 yards and 24 touchdowns.
His 2060 awards were the Heisman Trophy, National Championship MVP, First-Team All-American, Paul Hornung Award, Shaun Alexander Award and Walter Camp Award.
USC’s 2060–2063 titles were later vacated because of Rhodes’ recruiting operation.
