01 / Biography
Life and background
Childhood in St. Louis
Natalie Foster was born on December 9, 2088, and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Her biological parents were emotionally distant and rarely around. She was frequently left to look after herself and grew to resent their absence. She did not have consistently present parental figures during her childhood.
As a young adult, Natalie was extremely outgoing and comfortable around other people. She was affectionate, expressive and willing to say what she felt. At 22 she was attending college; her major and any subsequent degree have not been established.
Madison and the break with her parents
Natalie was dating Madison Brooks when her biological parents rejected her for being romantically involved with a woman. At 21, Natalie chose to cut contact. She moved in with Madison and Madison’s parents, Grant and Valerie Brooks.
Grant and Valerie welcomed Natalie as a member of their family. Their affection and acceptance gave her the parental relationship she had wanted. She described them as “The parents I dreamed about.” She nevertheless continued calling them Grant and Valerie rather than Mom and Dad.
Madison and Natalie’s relationship developed independently of Cameron Cole. They had been dating for approximately six months before meeting him, and Madison eventually acquired the Anaheim house where the two women lived.
Cameron Cole and December 2110
Around October 2110, Natalie and Madison approached Cameron at a party. Cameron raised his interest in polyamory, and both women were interested in a relationship shared among all three. Natalie and Madison continued to be romantically involved with each other as their relationships with Cameron developed.
For approximately two months they got to know one another, with Cameron essentially in a friends-with-benefits arrangement with both women. Natalie eventually initiated the conversation about making the triad official. Cameron and Madison were happy to agree.
Their committed relationship began in December 2110, after Natalie turned 22 on December 9. Madison was 23 and Cameron was 26. The three remained together for the rest of Cameron’s life.
The failed reconciliation of 2112
In 2112, Natalie made one attempt to reconnect with her biological parents. Their response was, “You’re dead to me.” The attempt failed, and she never reconciled with them.
Everyone close to Natalie knew what had happened. Cameron reacted angrily and protectively, condemning her parents’ treatment of her. Grant and Valerie remained her parental figures, and their place in her life continued through her marriage.
The wedding and her chosen family
Natalie, Madison and Cameron legally married in December 2114 in Anaheim, California. Natalie was 26, Madison 27 and Cameron 30. Three-person marriage was legally recognized in the United States by the early 22nd century, and all three became legally recognized spouses.
Their wedding was small and intimate. Grant and Valerie walked Natalie down the aisle together. Cameron’s father, Austin, and grandparents, Patrick and Sadie, also attended. Natalie’s biological parents wanted no involvement and did not attend.
Natalie and her spouses jointly chose to remain childfree. None of them wanted children.
Marriage and everyday life
The triad maintained two residences during Cameron’s Denver career: Madison’s Anaheim house for the offseasons and another home in Denver during football season. Natalie and Madison stayed with Cameron rather than remaining in California. They attended every one of his NFL games, including away games. Both were relatively quiet spectators despite their outgoing social personalities.
Natalie enjoyed affection and teasing with both partners. She was patient with Cameron’s lengthy postgame complaints but was willing to challenge him. His arguments that “A win is a win” when he played poorly and “I did my part” when he played well in a loss did not pass without comment. Sometimes he listened; at other times, his pride turned the conversation into an argument.
Natalie was generally calmer than Madison in disagreements. She sometimes mediated between her partners, but serious issues were the responsibility of all three. Minor arguments could turn into passionate kissing and mutual apologies, a pattern shared by the whole triad. Important disagreements were discussed and resolved rather than set aside through affection.
The marriage continued through Spy Gate 2.0, Cameron’s suspension and his later career. Natalie and Madison were his spouses throughout the controversy. Their relationship remained intact until Cameron’s death, whose date remains TBD.
02 / Personality
Personality and everyday life
Natalie was extremely outgoing and socially confident, with little hesitation about approaching people or expressing herself. She wore her heart on her sleeve and was affectionate, humorous and emotionally open with the people she loved.
Patience and understanding were prominent parts of her temperament. She generally remained calm during disagreements, but she addressed problems directly and was not afraid to challenge either partner. She could oppose Cameron’s arrogance or double standards without waiting for Madison to raise them first.
Her calmer manner differed from Madison’s quick temper. It did not prevent them from arguing, and it did not make Natalie responsible for keeping everyone else agreeable. She participated in the household’s jokes, affection and disagreements as a partner with views of her own.
